In order to see a cardiologist, you will need to have a valid referral from your General Practitioner (GP) or specialist, addressed to one of our Cardiologists. This should be faxed or emailed to us, where it will be triaged and you will then be contacted by one of our administrative staff to arrange an appointment.
Our fax contact number is (02) 9845 2163.
Email contact: hcfc.schn@health.nsw.gov.au
As we receive a lot of referrals, it is important that you follow up with our team if you do not receive a response within the following timeframes:
* If immediate cardiology review is requested, your GP or paediatrician should contact the cardiology fellow on-call to discuss patient care (via the Hospital Switchboard - 9845 0000).
* For urgent referrals (as advised by your medical practitioner), if you have not received a response within five business days, please call us on 9845 2345.
* For all other referrals, if you haven't received a response within four weeks, please call us on 9845 2345.
Of course, please call 000 if you have a medical emergency.
